Mike Caveney
Mike Caveney is one of magic’s great performers and historians. Those that have witnessed his performances know that he is extremely entertaining and that the magic he presents is done to perfection. In addition to his performance exploits, we are enormously indebted to him for his efforts in the field of magic history. His publishing company, Magic Words, has released the absolute masterworks on a number of magic’s most important historical figures, a number of which he has authored himself. They are always elegantly produced and nearly comprehensive in scope. Additionally, he has been responsible for bringing Guy Hollingworth’s Drawing Room Deceptions, Earl Nelson’s Variations, Frank Simon’s Versatile Card Magic, and Dai Vernon’s Revelation, among other titles, to the fraternity, for which we are enormously indebted. In fact, if you include Darwin Ortiz’ Annotated Erdnase, Mr. Caveney may have published more Erdnase related works than anyone in history!Additionally, he is one of the organizers of the Los Angeles Conference on Magic History which is far and away the best of its kind, and it is truly a joy to know that they do so much to bring back the wonderful effects of the past to present in all their glory in this day and age.
