Strike Second Deal

As the title suggests, second dealing is the process of dealing the second card from the top. Originally designed for the Cardsharp, Second Dealing can be used to achieve miracles with playing cards, if used in the right context.

  1. it’s incredible how I used to hate the second deal and the push through shuffle becouse I was horrible at them. Untill by watching a brief 1.55 min. video, I’m now dealing cards for my friends to play poker and they don’t see a thing, and the push trough shuffle for me was actually a real shuffle for how bad I used to do it, and again came this artist, and now I just can’t belive how I improved. Thank you soo much you kind cardist for helping me with this. May I ask who you are?

  2. I have always struggled with learning this slight. This video suggested beveling the cards a bit. That helped wonders. I watched this video about a week ago, and now i am well on my way to perfecting my second deal. Thank you so much guys.

  3. This is a great false deal to learn because when u keep on practicing it will be deceptive, fast and can be used in many tricks. I like his teaching. Second deals have a lot of utility.

  4. The thing is I dont know how to apply this once it is learned. What sort of things can be done with the second deal?

    • it could be used in a magic tricks instead of a card switch or in card cheating to retain the top card and deal it whenever you want.

    • Mostly, it’s used in poker routines/games, where you have an ace on top, and second deal to everyone except yourself. This way, you end up with an ace, while everyone else’s cards are random. This gives sharks an edge against other players. For magic tricks, try putting the ace of spades on top of the deck. Then have someone pick a card and put it on top of the deck. Then you can pretend to put it down onto the table, but instead second deal the ace of spades onto the table. Then shuffle the cards, snap your fingers, and the spectator’s card turned into the ace of spades.

  5. I understand that you can deal the top card when u want, ,my question is why is the top card important in cheating if you can’t control the rest of the top stock? even with a second and bottom deal perfected, the best you could guarantee is a pair. I have almost gotten to a reasonable level of competence with this slight just because i think it is beautiful. Still dont see its benefit in table routines nor gambling. suggested reading would be a plus. Btw, if an octopus could palm, best book ever. bought it in a magic shop 7 months ago. best book on palming ever. PROPS DAN AND DAVE. congrats on the knarly beard too, whichever of u it is.
