Fundraising For California Wildfire Relief

We cannot help but consider the loss and hardship of those affected by the disastrous Camp Fire blazing through Northern California, which is not far from where we grew up. And although we are safe, it has ignited a fire within us to do something.
The intensity and frequency of wildfires in California is devastating, and our changing climate, from drought to increased temperatures, is fueling their destruction. So far, the Camp Fire has burned more than 151,000 acres, killing 79 people and destroying nearly 17,000 structures. The fire has forced hundreds of thousands of residents from their homes and left most of the town of Paradise in ruins. It is the most catastrophic fire in California’s history.
Our Ongoing Commitment and Beyond
For over a year now we've been working with One Tree Planted to plant thousands of trees around the world in defense of unnecessary carbon emissions. And millions more must be planted. The more trees we can plant today, the more carbon dioxide, a climate-changing greenhouse gas, we can sequester tomorrow. And this is on top of doing everything we can to limit our carbon footprint through sustainable practices; from printing on FCS certified paper, to working with environmentally conscious manufacturers.
This isn’t enough though. This is our home, our beautiful planet, and our brothers and sisters are affected. The wilderness is calling, and she’s not only thirsty for water, she’s starving for our gratitude. Consider what our planet provides us, so much. And what are we doing to protect it? Not enough.
We found a great organization doing incredible work to raise funds for immediate and long-term recovery efforts from California wildfires. Join us this Season of Giving to really make a difference in someone’s life, and help us raise $20,000 for the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund. We’ll match the total donated amount up to $10,000 on January 1st, 2019.
To donate, we’ve setup a special page on Crowdrise.
